Full Job Description

Position Summary: This position provides support in updating and maintaining availability in the inventory system for the sales department.

Job Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Assist with answering sales requests and allocating plants for primary accounts.
Assist with quality control of plants on availability and updating specs regularly.
Review monthly ready dates and ensure plants are available when needed.
Take photos and update on the Flowerwood website as needed.
Review Inbound Tracking Sheet for material received daily from buy-ins and transfers.
Proof orders for any errors or issues before being processed.
Other duties as requested/needed.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience

Plant knowledge and a minimum of 3 years wholesale nursery experience preferred.

Competencies

Knowledge of inventory and tracking procedures is a plus.
Excellent organizational/time management skills, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands

Occasionally lifts/pulls/carries up to 50 pounds.
Frequently required to stand, sit, talk, and hear, and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls.
·On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, kneel, or reach above the shoulders.
Operate typical office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copy machine, etc.
Regular mental demands such as comprehension, reasoning, decision making, and strong math skills.

Work Environment:

Outside and working in vehicle on the nursery.
Minimal travel.
