Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Assistant Bookkeeper and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records. This energetic position offers the opportunity to develop your accounting expertise while supporting essential financial operations. You will assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the preparation of financial reports that inform strategic decision-making. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to grow your accounting skills, this role is perfect for you!

Duties

Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial transactions using accounting QuickBooks and Ardovia
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to verify account accuracy.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by processing invoices, payments, and collections efficiently.
Entering contracts and addendums as well as other data entry.

Requirements

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.
Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes.
Familiarity with financial concepts including GAAP standards, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and tax experience.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10-key typing accurately under tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and support financial reporting efforts.
