Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to provide virtual addiction treatment services with a focus on Methadone/Buprenorphine prescribing for patients with opioid use disorder. The ideal candidate is passionate about addiction medicine, experienced in Methadone/Buprenorphine prescribing for treatment (not pain management), and comfortable working in a fully virtual care environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for new patients to determine appropriateness for Methadone/Buprenorphine treatment.
Prescribe Methadone/Buprenorphine and other evidence-based medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Provide follow-up visits for medication management, treatment progress monitoring, and care plan adjustments.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate treatment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Comply with all Medicaid, DEA, and Pennsylvania regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with an active Pennsylvania medical license.
DEA certification with authority to prescribe controlled substances.
Medicaid-enrolled provider in Pennsylvania (or willing to complete enrollment).
Minimum of 2 years of experience prescribing Methadone/Buprenorphine for opioid use disorder (not for pain management).
Strong knowledge of addiction psychiatry and MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) standards.
Excellent communication and virtual patient engagement skills.

Schedule & Compensation

Part-time: 2 hours per day (Monday–Friday) with the option to expand to weekends.
Flexible scheduling to accommodate provider availability.
Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.
