Assistant Clinical Director (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT)
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Full-Time)
About the Role:
Are you an independently licensed clinician passionate about blending high-quality client care with data-driven programmatic insights? Whitney Academy is seeking an Assessment & Research Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our Clinical Department.
In this dynamic position, you will oversee clinical and behavioral assessments, support the implementation of evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment practices, and monitor program outcomes. Working closely with the Clinical Director, you will provide leadership, guidance, and project management to our clinical team, helping shape the future of our therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessments & Care: Coordinate and complete comprehensive clinical, behavioral, and psychosexual assessments. Maintain a reduced clinical caseload to facilitate individual and group therapy when needed.
- Team Leadership & Consultation: Provide guidance, training, and project leadership to the Clinical Team; provide clinical supervision as assigned by the Clinical Director.
- Data & Research Innovation: Analyze student clinical data, monitor treatment outcomes, and lead quality improvement initiatives to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with evidence-based practices.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Review clinical documentation for regulatory compliance, participate in internal audits, and assist with accreditation activities.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a bridge between clinical, educational, residential, and administrative departments to ensure seamless, holistic student care.
- Staff Development: Create and conduct training sessions for staff on assessment tools, trauma-informed care, and proper documentation practices.
- Operational Support: Co-facilitate treatment planning meetings and fulfill Administrator-on-Duty responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in a mental health-related field (required).
- Licensure: Active independent clinical licensure in good standing (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT). Must be legally eligible to provide clinical supervision according to state regulations.
- Experience: Extensive experience working in residential treatment and/or mental health settings. Prior experience providing clinical supervision is highly preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed treatment, behavior management practices, and crisis intervention techniques.
