The Engineering Technician supports the Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams by developing, executing, and maintaining technical documentation, performing equipment and process qualification activities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on generating and maintaining work instructions, preventive maintenance documentation, qualification protocols, and technical reports while assisting engineers with experiments, equipment qualifications, and process development tasks.

Draft and revise controlled documentation, including QMPs, Work Instructions (WIs), and Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures, based on NPD, NPI, or Sustaining Engineering guidance.

Develop draft qualification protocols for Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) in alignment with engineering and VitalPath requirements.

Prepare and initiate change order for Engineering documents in QCBD Qualifications, Specifications, and Supporting Records.

Draft Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support engineering teams in maintaining accurate part, component, and material records.

Create preliminary material specifications and updated specifications for engineering review.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure documentation accuracy, clarity, and adherence to internal quality and compliance standards.

Work closely with Engineering on first pass of inputting data into cost model for management review.

Strong communication skills interacting with vendors as needed for technical questions, quote request, and nonconformances.

Assist Engineering on creating Work Orders(WO)/Travelers(TVR)

Support Operations and Quality functions by assisting with quality inspections, generating or updating quality documentation, preparing shipping documentation, and performing incoming or final inspection activities as required

Technical Associated Degree or equivalent experience

35+ years of experience in a manufacturing/operations technical role

Knowledge of TVRs, BOMs, and Routers

Knowledge of QMP, WI, and SOPs

Basic computer skills

Basic math skills

Working knowledge of catheter manufacturing

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Minimal travel to other VitalPath locations or customer locations

Post Secondary Education

The hourly range for this position is $30.43 $38.93 . The posted hourly range complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as market conditions, level of experience and training, education, certifications, as well as internal and external equity.

This position is eligible to earn an annual performance bonus based on meeting VitalPath’s bonus performance plan.
