Full Job Description

Job Summary

BrightStar Care is hiring compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) for a pediatric private-duty home health case in Davenport, FL (34759).

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN or LPN looking for a consistent weekday schedule while building a meaningful relationship with one patient and family.

Schedule

Monday through Friday
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
30 hours per week

Patient Overview

Female pediatric patient
PEG tube feeding
One-on-one skilled nursing care in the home
Parent will be present and supportive during all visits

The family is hoping to find one dedicated RN or LPN who can provide consistent care throughout the week.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled pediatric nursing care in the home
Manage and monitor PEG tube feedings
Perform patient assessments and document care accurately
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Communicate effectively with the patient's family and clinical team
Observe for changes in condition and report concerns promptly
Maintain a safe, compassionate, and professional environment

Qualifications

Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) or (LPN) license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Pediatric or home health experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
Experience with PEG tubes is preferred
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Must be able to read and write in English, as all clinical documentation and charting are completed in English

Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The family prefers a Spanish-speaking RN; however, this is not a requirement. Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish are highly desired. Regardless of language proficiency, all RNs must be able to read and write in English to accurately complete documentation in our electronic charting system..

Responsibilities

Provide skilled pediatric nursing care in a home setting
Administer and monitor G-Tube / PEG feedings per care plan
Perform routine assessments and monitor patient condition
Assist with ADLs as needed
Document care accurately and in a timely manner
Communicate effectively with families and BrightStar Care clinical team
Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional care environment

Qualifications

Active LPN or RN license in Florida (or Compact RN)
Pediatric or home health experience preferred
Experience with G-Tube / PEG feedings strongly preferred
CPR certification and negative TB test/chest X-ray
Reliable transportation
Strong communication, assessment, and time-management skills
