We are seeking a motivated Tax Associate to join our team. This role will focus on the preparation of tax returns for professional services clients, as well as high-net-worth individuals, families, and related entities.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in tax compliance, strong organizational and analytical skills, and a desire to continue developing technical tax knowledge. This individual will work closely with Senior Associates, Supervisors, Managers, and Directors to deliver high-quality client service while gaining exposure to increasingly complex tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns, including:
- 1040 (Individual)
- 1041 (Trusts & Estates)
- 1065 and 1120-S related to partnerships and S corporations
- 709 (Gift Tax)
- Related entities such as management companies, holding companies, and investment partnerships
Assist with tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and other engagement deliverables.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support engagement teams as needed.
Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
Maintain strong organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Perform basic tax research and assist with documenting research conclusions.

Qualifications

Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 4 days per week.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required.
MST a plus.
Active CPA license, EA certification, or progress toward certification preferred.
1+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting preferred.
Experience preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, trust, gift tax, and investment partnership returns preferred.
Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax research platforms (e.g., CCH, BNA, RIA).
Knowledge of CCH Axcess preferred.
Exposure to multi-entity and multi-state taxation issues preferred.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships.
