Job Description and Duties

Are you interested in being a member of a dynamic team, working to combat fraud and protect the People of California? Consider joining the Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse (DMFEA) at the California Department of Justice. DMFEA is in search of a Seasonal Clerk that exercises initiative and professionalism in the performance of a variety of clerical duties for the Complaint and Data Branch of the division.

Under the close supervision of the Supervisor II, the Seasonal Clerk provides administrative and complaint intake support for the Complaint and Data Branch by reviewing and responding to complaints, gathering additional information from complainants, maintaining case management records and supporting daily office operations. The Seasonal Clerk provides effective communication to division staff, visitors, and vendors via in-person, telephone, and online platforms while exercising initiative and professionalism.

Working Conditions

This position is in-office only, offers free parking, and is close to shopping, restaurants, and the freeway.

Seasonal Clerks, Student Assistants, and Graduate Student Assistants:

Seasonal Clerks, Student Assistants, and Graduate Student Assistants are not allowed to work more than 1,500 hours in a rolling 12 months from your hire date. The anticipated time worked will be a minimum of 24 hours per week. If selected, the employee will receive an hourly compensation based on the number of hours worked.
