Kronick is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team. We are looking for someone who is intellectually curious, highly organized, and takes ownership of their work. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, is comfortable in an environment where priorities can change quickly and finds satisfaction in helping attorneys achieve outstanding results.

At Kronick, our paralegals are trusted members of the firm. They support attorneys across the firm’s diverse practice areas, providing substantive legal and organizational support that helps deliver exceptional client service. While much of our work involves litigation, our paralegals have the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of sophisticated legal matters.

Salary range for this position is $85,000–$100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities

Review, organize, analyze, and manage large volumes of documents.
Conduct legal and factual research.
Support all phases of discovery, including ownership of subpoenas and document productions.
Shepardize and cite-check legal authorities.
Respond to California Public Records Act requests, including reviewing and analyzing responsive records and preparing correspondence.
Assist attorneys with case management, trial preparation, and substantive legal projects across the firm’s diverse practice areas.
Manage competing priorities while ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
Contribute across matters, practice areas, and firm initiatives to support the attorneys and clients we serve.

Qualifications

At least five years of substantive paralegal or comparable legal support experience.
Demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar areas of law and legal procedure through effective research, critical thinking, and initiative.
Experience supporting litigation matters is preferred. Candidates with significant experience in other complex legal practice areas are encouraged to apply.
Labor and Employment law experience is a plus.
Strong case management, organizational, and time-management skills.
Strong technology skills and the ability to quickly learn new software; experience with eDiscovery platforms and Trial Director is a plus.
Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program.
Compliance with California Business and Professions Code § 6450.
