Full Job Description

Location: Americus, GA (In-person)

Factory Direct Marine & RV is growing fast — and with a brand-new building opening soon in Americus, this is the perfect time to join our team. We're looking for a detail-oriented Dealership Bookkeeper & Accounting Specialist to manage the financial operations that keep our boat and RV dealership running smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in dealership accounting. You'll gain hands-on experience with dealership-specific financial systems, inventory accounting, and the unique aspects of marine and RV retail operations.

What You'll Do

Dealership Accounting & Bookkeeping:

Maintain daily accounting records in dealership management system (DMS)
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
Record daily sales transactions for boat and RV sales
Process flooring payments and manufacturer invoices
Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and financial reports
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

Inventory Management:

Track boat and RV inventory in DMS system
Reconcile physical inventory counts with system records
Monitor inventory aging and flooring costs
Process inventory receipts and transfers between locations
Maintain accurate cost records for all inventory

Administrative & Operational Support:

Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents
Process payroll information and employee expense reports
Coordinate with sales and finance departments on deal paperwork
Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance
Support management with special projects and financial analysis
Help with operational tasks as assigned by dealership management

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

1+ year of bookkeeping or accounting experience (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to prepare profit and loss statements
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
Ability to work independently once trained
Quick learner who can adapt to new systems and processes
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Professional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with dealership management systems (DMS)
Background in automotive, marine, or RV dealership accounting
Understanding of flooring and inventory financing
QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience
Associate degree in accounting or business (or equivalent experience)
