Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Epidemiologist to join our public health research team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and conducting epidemiological studies to investigate disease patterns, risk factors, and health outcomes within diverse populations. Your expertise will contribute to advancing our understanding of infectious and chronic diseases, supporting evidence-based interventions, and informing public health policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, extensive experience in epidemiological data collection and analysis, and a passion for improving community health outcomes through rigorous research.

Duties

Design, implement, and oversee epidemiological study projects, ensuring adherence to scientific standards and research protocols.
Collect, manage, and analyze epidemiological data utilizing statistical software such as R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, or SQL.
Develop data visualization tools using Tableau or GIS to effectively communicate research findings.
Conduct biostatistics-based research and interpret complex datasets to identify disease trends and risk factors.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on infectious disease research projects, applying epidemiological methods to study transmission dynamics.
Manage epidemiological data collection processes using standardized methods and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Prepare comprehensive reports and scientific manuscripts detailing research methodologies, results, and implications.
Support public health initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations based on quantitative applied research.
Utilize laboratory experience when applicable to enhance epidemiological investigations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of epidemiology principles, statistical analysis techniques, and public health guidelines.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field; doctoral degrees preferred.
Proven experience in epidemiological study design, data management, and statistical analysis.
Proficiency with statistical software including R, SAS, SPSS, Stata; familiarity with SQL is advantageous.
Strong skills in data interpretation and visualization tools such as Tableau and GIS platforms.
Experience with infectious disease research and epidemiological analysis is highly desirable.
Knowledge of epidemiological data collection methods and research project design.
Excellent writing skills for preparing scientific reports and publications.
Familiarity with EHR systems and laboratory procedures relevant to epidemiology.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams focused on public health initiatives.
