Full Job Description

Job description:
A hybrid front desk position that will consist of mainly reception duties, but will also include boarding and doggie daycare activities, depending on where help is needed.

Hours: This is a full-time position that includes a combination of M-F daytime and occasional weekend hours. Short (2-3 hour) Holiday shifts will be required.

We are seeking a very special person that exhibits all of the following traits:

Professional presentation and demeanor
Energetic personality
Extremely reliable
Ability to lift 30#
True passion for small breed dogs
Organized
Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)

Additional Requirements:

Developing excellent relationships with Woofington clients
Ensuring that each client’s expectations are not only met, but EXCEEDED
Answering phones and giving facility tours
Maintaining a sanitary environment at all times, both indoors and outdoors
Facilitating initial temperament tests/evaluations and discussing those results with pet parents
Following protocol regarding safe introductions of dogs
Exhibiting confident, patient, interactive leadership to the dogs when in daycare
Check-ins and check-outs of boarding & daycare dogs
Significant phone work
Taking boarding, daycare and grooming reservations
Verifying vaccinations
Meal preparation, feedings and medications
Ongoing cleaning to include ongoing mopping, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming, picking up dog waste, emptying trash, cleaning glass, laundry, etc.
Completing items on the daily checklist
Helping other team members, whenever needed
Exhibiting Woofington standards of excellence and professionalism

Work Environment:

The position will require lifting (up to 30 pounds), kneeling, bending and standing for long periods of time. The atmosphere will be noisy and sometimes quite hectic. The Woofington is a team and the expectation is that of helping each other, where needed.

Compensation:

This is a full-time position that includes paid time off and Holiday pay.
