Job Overview
Responsible for leading the branch by managing daily operations, directing team performance, and cultivating a welcoming sales and service culture. This role focuses on building meaningful member relationships, supporting branch activity such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, and actively representing the credit union in the community. A strong connection to Troy and the surrounding area is essential, with an emphasis on developing local relationships, identifying business development opportunities, and strengthening the credit union’s presence as a trusted community partner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Associate Development-35%
Coach Universal MSRs to the credit union’s mission statement, foster a sales and service culture that leads to meeting sales and service goals set by the credit union with a focus on growing our members relationships with Day Air.
Build a culture of empowerment within the branch to ensure that member’s needs are being met in a timely manner.
Build a team that works together to build our member’s loyalty and trust and takes great pride in the credit union culture, and provides our members with an excellent experience when visiting the branch.
Evaluates work of associates, conducts performance reviews with staff in a timely manner, recommends promotions, reassignments, the hiring of new associates, and related personnel functions. Provides training and assistance to associates to ensure efficient and effective delivery of member services.
Responsible for creating a sales-driven environment and works with associates to drive growth of the branch through various channels such as: referring additional product/services to in-branch members, outbound call programs to existing members, and word of mouth marketing within the community. This includes leading the department to meet sales goals of FPC and lending referral sales goals.
Monitors attainment of established sales goals for the credit union’s products and services, and establishes standards to ensure quality service delivery. Continually coaching associates on their performance and providing them the necessary tools to work toward their goals.
Responsible for associates being knowledgeable of the credit union’s products and services. Ensure associates are receiving on going product and services training so that they can effectively offer them to members.
Responsible for developing associates for growth within Day Air through coaching, mentoring, and training.
Plans, organizes and leads Branch meetings and branch contests.
Member Service/Lending-30%
Effectively offer members products and services that will enhance their membership with the credit union both at new account opening and additional interactions.
Extensive knowledge of lending products and processes. Ability to conduct interviews with members, recommend products and process the loan application from beginning to end. Ensures all loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy and requirements set out in regulation.
Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting or denying loan request, as well as looking for additional loans that Day Air could refinance to strengthen our member’s relationship with Day Air.
To protect the credit union and our members against fraud, use appropriate means of verification before giving any account information to the member or processing any requests for the member.
Works with the Virtual MSR to ensure there is a smooth transition of members when transactions are started at ITM but need to be moved to a branch associate for completion.
Branch Workflow-20%
Has an extensive knowledge of all systems and processes of branch operations not limited to: Core processing system, Plastic card processing, branch scheduling software and Two Way Chat communication software. Assist in ensuring that all policies and procedures are up to date and creates written policies and procedures related to branch operations as needed.
Have extensive knowledge of how members will process transactions and be able to demonstrate to members how to use them.
Work with select associates on approving check deposits through the ITMs and using appropriate holds as needed to manage risk.
Responsible for balancing branch ITMs consistently and have minor troubleshooting techniques when issues arise with the ITMs.
Held accountable for ensuring that branch is running efficiently by monitoring processes. Also responsible for managing staffing levels to meet members’ needs and monitor branch expenses including but not limited to monitoring overtime.
Daily ensures all teller transactions and branch transactions are reconciled, scanned, and appropriate deposits are made via Check Logic.
Ensures all cash levels of the branch are within bonding limits. Including daily ordering or shipping of cash. Also held accountable for documented monthly audits of ITMs, cash drawers, and vaults.
Secures branch, vault, and building at the close of day. Is thoroughly knowledgeable about security and robbery procedures. Maintain security cameras. Ensure that security cameras are in working order and correct position. Acts as primary after-hours contact for the Security System for the branch. Held accountable for documented monthly audits of the branch alarm system.
Develop plans and schedules for the efficient use of materials, machines, technological equipment and employees resulting in outstanding service‑delivery.
Has basic knowledge and understanding of minor troubleshooting techniques associated with various pieces of equipment used in the branch.
Ensures that the Branch image is favorable, reflecting a sound and secure financial institution that employs prudent housekeeping procedures, safety measures, and provides a pleasant atmosphere for members, including privacy, confidentiality, and ease of use.
May have additional responsibilities due to time and staffing allowances.
Business Development-15%
Works directly within the community the branch serves to develop awareness and community involvement.
Develop relationships throughout the surrounding community and partner with a variety of departments/organizations to seek out new opportunities to provide financial education workshop/events.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees Teller/MSR Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and establishing sales goals and incentive programs.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
The Branch Manager is expected to attain branch goals in savings, lending, account relationships, transactions, and profitability. Productivity standards are determined from time to time to reflect the traffic, volume and market opportunities for the branch. The Branch Manager is responsible for maintaining proper staffing levels, especially during holidays, vacations, and peak times. The Branch Manager will ensure that all associate evaluations are completed in a consistent and timely fashion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four‑year college or university; plus three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay: $63,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year
