Full Job Description

Rooted in Family, Compassion, and Love, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Culinary Director to lead our dining services with excellence, creativity, and heart.

As our Culinary Director, you will oversee all aspects of the culinary department, ensuring residents receive nutritious, delicious meals in a warm and welcoming dining experience. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety, and work closely with residents and staff to create menus that promote health, enjoyment, and connection.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop the culinary team while fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and excellence.
Plan and oversee the preparation and service of nutritious, high quality meals that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.
Create seasonal menus that balance nutrition, variety, and resident satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Manage food production, inventory, purchasing, and departmental budgets efficiently.
Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to support individualized dietary needs and care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health record systems when applicable.
Train team members on food safety, sanitation, and best practices.
Continuously evaluate and improve dining services to enhance the resident experience.
Build meaningful relationships with residents and families by creating a dining program that feels welcoming and personalized.

Qualifications

Previous leadership experience in food service, healthcare, senior living, assisted living, skilled nursing, or a related setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and dietary guidelines.
Experience managing kitchen operations, budgets, inventory, and staff.
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Experience with electronic medical or health record systems is preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
A passion for serving older adults with dignity, compassion, and respect.
