Full Job Description

The Retail Shift Lead is responsible for assisting the Dispensary Manager in the overall management and operations of the dispensary. This role ensures that all daily tasks and responsibilities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their experience and the dispensary's financial goals are met.

Description

Responsibilities:

Manage, supervise and coordinate the work of the budtending staff during their assigned shifts.
Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services offered by the dispensary.
Oversee daily cash management procedures and handle cash deposits.
Verify and accept deliveries and manifests, and accept in Metrc.
Address customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner.
Ensure that the dispensary's policies and procedures are being followed by all team members.
Monitor inventory levels and facilitate replenishment of supplies as needed.
Train new budtenders on DCC rules and regulations, company policies, procedures, and best practices.

Retail Shift Lead Job Description

Communicate with the Dispensary Manager any operational issues that may arise, including but not limited to customer complaints, theft, and employee issues.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dispensary Manager and Assistant Manager.

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must obtain a license from the Ohio Department of Cannabis Control.
Prior experience in a retail or customer service-oriented environment is required.
Experience working in a cannabis dispensary is preferred.
Ability to lead and supervise a team of employees.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of basic financial reporting and inventory management is a plus.
Must comply with all state and local laws regarding cannabis use and dispensing.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Professional and effective communication, both written and verbal and handle various types of media and equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds, or double that with assistance.
Ability to handle and diffuse high stress situations and a fast-paced company.
All new employees will serve a 90-day probationary period to enable the Management team to determine suitability.
