Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to check-in and check-out. Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage patient intake with professionalism and enthusiasm
Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes
Collect payments, process medical billing, and manage accounts receivable using systems like Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth
Maintain accurate dental records, update patient information, and review documentation for completeness in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and providing outstanding patient service
Assist with medical coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to ensure proper billing and documentation compliance
Manage filing of medical records, handle medical administrative support tasks, and ensure HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality

Experience

Previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and health information management practices
Proficiency with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Meditech or Epic is a plus
Experience with insurance verification, medical billing, and coding including ICD-10 is desirable
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10-key typing for efficient data entry
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient service in a fast-paced office setting
Bilingual abilities are considered an asset to better serve diverse patient populations
Prior clinic or hospital experience involving medical office management or administrative support will strengthen your application
