Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic part-time General Manager to serve as the operational backbone of The Mess Masters LLC, overseeing day-to-day operations, leading a team of approximately 13 staff members, and ensuring the business runs efficiently and profitably. This role reports directly to the Owner and is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a hands-on mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily office functions, drive sales growth, and foster a positive environment for both customers and team members. Your leadership will ensure operational excellence, exceptional customer service, and effective team management. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with previous management experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for motivating teams to achieve their best.

Duties

Lead and manage all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service to ensure smooth daily functioning.
Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing retail team aligned with company standards.
Oversee employee orientation programs and ongoing training initiatives to enhance team skills and product knowledge.
Assist with payroll, budgeting, cash handling, and bookkeeping activities accurately and efficiently.
Implement effective inventory management strategies including stock ordering, pricing and monitor equipment to keep teams fully stocked and operational.
Drive sales management efforts by setting targets, analyzing sales data, and developing promotional strategies to boost revenue.
Foster a customer-centric environment by maintaining excellent communication skills, phone etiquette, and resolving customer inquiries promptly.
Manage scheduling, time-off requests, and shift coverage to maintain full operational capacity
Promote a positive, professional team culture that reflects the company’s values
Track and report on key performance metrics including production rates, revenue per job, and labor costs
Build and maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial clients
Support sales and marketing efforts, including following up on quotes and leads

Qualifications

1+ years of management experience required, preferably in a service-based or field operations environment
Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent managerial communication skills paired with leadership qualities that motivate teams toward shared goals.
Knowledge of cleaning operations is preferred.
Basic math skills for budgeting, pricing adjustments, and financial reporting;
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
Outstanding customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude
