We’re looking for a General Manager who doesn’t just maintain that standard—but raises it.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead day-to-day operations, inspire the team, and drive the business forward. This role blends hospitality, leadership, and commercial acumen—you’ll be as comfortable on the floor with guests as you are in the numbers behind the scenes.

Key ResponsibilitiesCulture & Leadership

Lead by example—bringing the Meridien brand, values, and guest experience to life every day
Create a positive, high-performance culture across front and back of house
Inspire and coach the team to deliver exceptional, consistent guest experiences
Foster a collaborative environment built on shared ownership and accountability
Maintain a safe, professional workplace that supports growth and development

Operations & Management

Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations (FOH + BOH)
Partner with ownership to grow the business in line with strategic goals
Use Toast and reporting tools to identify trends, opportunities, and efficiencies
Manage budgets across labor, inventory, and operating costs to drive profitability
Oversee inventory management across kitchen and bar
Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency
Hire, train, and develop all staff in partnership with ownership
Build and manage staffing schedules proactively
Coordinate service flow (reservations, seating, kitchen pacing, etc.)
Process payroll and maintain accurate reporting
Identify and implement cost-saving and waste-reduction opportunities
Oversee website updates and operational systems
Manage building maintenance vendors (cleaning, landscaping, equipment, etc.)
Conduct quarterly performance reviews
Train and onboard new employees
Proactively identify issues and recommend solutions

Guest Experience & Offer

Actively engage with guests—turn great experiences into loyalty, and issues into wins
Handle guest and team concerns quickly and effectively
Gather real-time feedback on food, service, and atmosphere
Partner with the Chef to develop and refresh seasonal menus (quarterly)
Collaborate with bar team on cocktail program and menu updates
Contribute to marketing and communications initiatives
Own social media updates (menus, features, events)
Partner with Events Manager to plan and execute events

Safety & Compliance

Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Train and enforce adherence to restaurant procedures and policies
Maintain opening/closing checklists and operational discipline
Ensure all kitchen and food safety regulations are consistently met
Uphold Department of Health standards at all times

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience managing a full-service restaurant (GM or strong AGM ready to step up)
Strong leadership presence—you set the tone, not follow it
Financial acumen—comfortable managing P&L, labor, and inventory
Deep understanding of hospitality and guest experience
Ability to balance floor leadership with operational discipline
Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented
Comfortable with systems (Toast experience a plus)
Passion for food, beverage, and creating memorable experiences
