Role Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Landscaping Crew Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance and development of various outdoor spaces, ensuring they are beautiful, safe, and functional for our clients. This role involves performing a variety of tasks including planting, watering, trimming, fertilizing, digging, and raking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties.
- Plant, fertilize, water, trim, and mulch plants and trees.
- Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
- Mow and edge lawns using power mowers and edgers.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, and playground equipment.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, or other lawn care chemicals following safety procedures.
- Maintain and repair tools, equipment, and structures such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches using hand or power tools.
- Gather and remove litter from job sites.
- Drive trucks or other vehicles to and from work sites.
- Perform other landscaping duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and landscaping practices.
- Physical fitness and ability to withstand outdoor conditions.
- Ability to operate various landscaping equipment and tools.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping preferred
- Be at least 18 years of age.
