About the Role

We’re hiring Dexa’s first Product Manager - a hands-on builder who will help define how product management works at the company.

This is a generalist, execution-focused role spanning multiple operational technology domains that power our end-to-end delivery system. You’ll partner across customers, operations, and engineering to plan, design, prioritize, and deliver the systems that make autonomous logistics real.

You’ll start with a primary focus on operations technology, including:

Address deliverability and verification
Flight route planning and flight control systems
Ground operations workflows
Material handling and order chain of custody

In parallel, you will also lead (near-term, as prioritized) product efforts across:

Customer & Commercial technology (APIs, integrations, B2C apps/web, customer service tools)
SG&A systems (supporting decisions across marketing, HR, finance, etc.)

Over time, these domains will scale into dedicated product areas - and this role will help shape the foundation of Dexa’s product organization.

This is not a “roadmap only” role. You’ll be in the details, on the keys, writing requirements, shaping solutions, and working side-by-side with engineering and operations teams to ship solutions.

What You’ll Do

Manage product development across multiple operations technology domains
Translate real-world operational challenges into scalable software solutions
Write clear, actionable product requirements, user stories, and specs
Partner with engineering to plan and execute sprints and releases
Work directly with operations teams in the field to understand workflows and identify opportunities
Collaborate with commercial and growth teams to align product priorities with business impact
Help prioritize across competing initiatives to ensure maximum ROI on development resources
Lead product efforts across customer-facing, operational, and internal systems
Use AI tools and workflows to accelerate product design, development, and decision-making
Operate across multiple domains simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
Help define and evolve Dexa’s product management discipline as the company scales

What We’re Looking For

1-3 years of experience in product management (ideally in both startup and corporate environments)
Track record as a doer and builder, not just a planner
Experience working closely with engineering and operations teams
Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
Proven ability to go from problem -> solution -> shipped product
Strong skills in:
Writing product requirements and user stories
Sprint planning and execution
Cross-functional collaboration
Ability to act as a commercial leader, helping guide prioritization and tradeoff decisions
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to accelerate product development and output
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Required Experience

Experience with operational technology systems (required), such as:
Logistics, transportation, or aviation systems
Retail or fulfillment operations
Material handling or warehouse systems
Experience working on systems where software meets real-world operations

Nice to Have

Exposure to customer-facing platforms (APIs, apps, integrations)
Experience with internal business systems (SG&A tools)
Experience in high-growth or early-stage environments
Familiarity with automation, AI, or computer vision-enabled systems

Work Environment

Must be located within driving distance of Dayton, OH
Hybrid model: 4-6 days per month in-office
Travel required: regular travel to operating sites (3-5 days at a time, monthly cadence)
Fast-paced, highly collaborative, and execution-focused
