Full Job Description

The Opportunity:

Do you want to develop training that will transform national security? As an instructional designer, you know that even the best tools and processes can’t have an impact without the right education. Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical information requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in national security by crafting effective training.

On our team, you’ll work with SMEs to capture your customer’s training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish their goals. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience , you’ll design synchronous, asynchronous material, or support tools. You’ll build training material, following the ADDIE model.

You’ll use your technical skills , creativity, and experience to come up with new instructional design ideas to develop an e nga ging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You’ll use cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, including blended learning, screencasting, gamification, etc . to shape a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with SMEs throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using evaluation met hodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then fine-tune your training for maximum impact. We focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers, so you’ll learn new tools and skills to develop a creative learning experience that will e nga ge students.

You Have:

Experience in creating high-quality, interactive, and effective learning solutions for classroom, web-based, or webinar delivery
Experience assessing training needs
Experience addressing feedback on course materials
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with Instructional Systems Design, or a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with Instructional Systems Design

Nice If You Have:

Experience analyzing job tasks, develop ing training tasks, and writing learning objectives
Experience assessing training needs and training effectiveness
Experience evaluating learning assessments
Experience designing course material for learning management systems
Experience with Articulate 360 or Storyline
Experience instructing or facilitating in a classroom
Experience with the intelligence community and open-source intelligence analysis
Experience with ADDIE and other instructional design models
Knowledge of the U.S. Air Force
Master’s degree

Clearance :

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
