Engineer / Estimator Details:

Contract to Hire position
$34.00 /hour
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

Job Details

Review customer drawings, specifications, and RFQs to develop accurate and competitive project estimates
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, machining, welding, finishing, and outsourced services
Develop manufacturing plans and determine the most efficient production methods for fabricated metal products
Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and other manufacturing documentation
Collaborate with sales, purchasing, engineering, and production teams to support quoting and project execution
Provide technical support to manufacturing operations and help resolve production-related issues
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve processes, and increase estimating accuracy

Engineer / Estimator Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred
3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing engineering, estimating, or a related field
Strong knowledge of welding, machining, forming, cutting, and metal fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
CAD software experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) is a plus
