Full Job Description

Overview

Located in Athen’s TN or surrounding markets, the American Bedding MFG National Accounts/Business Development Manager will create and lead the implementation of an omni channel distribution strategy. This role requires a proven history of revenue growth through the recruitment and management of distribution partners including wholesalers, dealers, independent reps, and e-commerce platforms. Ideal candidates for this role possess excellent communication skills, ability to lead and execute contract negotiations, a keen understanding of consultative selling, and a passion for hitting and exceeding year-over-year sales targets. A hunter/entrepreneurial mindset and ownership mentality is expected.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution Partners: Identify, on-board, and develop distribution partners including wholesalers, dealers, independent reps, and e-commerce platforms.
Annual Account Planning: Develop and execute annual account sales plans by distribution channel.
Drive Performance: Train, develop, and manage strategic YOY growth.
Pipeline Management: Track large projects and accounts within the CRM software.
Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate pricing and contract terms to close deals and meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside the marketing, product, and operations teams to optimize lead generation and ensure a seamless customer handoff.
Presentation and Selling Skills: Must be able to convey compelling value propositions, while earning customer trust and loyalty.
Reporting: Monthly and Quarterly KPIs and performance updates.
Capture VOC: Provide consistent market/voice of customer feedback to the senior leadership team, regarding products, services, and market insights.
Relationship Building: Will develop enduring customer relationships by adding value, building trust, and ensuring follow up communications with urgency and sincerity.

Requirements

Travel: 40% plus
Experience: 5-plus years of proven experience in the development and management of B2B/B2C sales, preferably within the dorm, mattress, and institutional furniture markets.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an excellent, persuasive telephone presence.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., [Salesforce, HubSpot]) and modern communication tools (e.g., MS Office, Zoom, LinkedIn). Additionally, must be proficient with Excell, Word, and PPT.
Drive: Initiative-taking, ambitious, and competitive nature with a proven record of meeting quotas.
Education: Associate's, or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Professionalism: Conducts themselves in a highly professional manner as representative of the American Bedding Brand.
