Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Auto Damage Estimator to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will assess vehicle damages accurately, prepare comprehensive repair estimates, and communicate effectively with customers and insurance adjusters. Your expertise will help streamline the repair process, ensure customer satisfaction, and maximize shop profitability. Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles using computer-aided estimating software to determine scope of repairs.
Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates covering collision damage, mechanical issues, and cosmetic repairs.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and service managers to coordinate repairs efficiently and uphold quality standards.
Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, and other maintenance items to enhance customer value.
Assist clients with insurance claims processing by providing necessary documentation and explanations of repair estimates.
Maintain organized records of all estimates, customer interactions, and repair progress for accountability and reporting purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience in auto estimating software (such as CCC ONE or Mitchell) along with automotive diagnostics skills.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician preferred.
Familiarity with dealership operations and collision repair processes is highly desirable.
Knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, suspensions, alignments, oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts, brake repairs.
Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to perform vehicle inspections accurately and efficiently while paying attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential.
Basic cash handling skills for processing payments when applicable.
