Full Job Description

This is a FedEx Ground Contractor that operates out of the Green Bay, WI terminal.

We are currently seeking a Lead FedEx Delivery Manager who will be supervising a group of experienced drivers in their day-to-day routines. Previous or current leadership experience is a MUST. This is a managerial / leadership position. A Direct experience with FedEx is a must.

If you have direct experience as a FedEx Delivery Manager or Driver, Transportation Manager, Logistics Manager, Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor, or any other managerial position for companies like Amazon, UPS, FedEx, Paper Transport, JBS Foods, Schneider, Two Men and a Truck, or any other similar company you may be the perfect candidate.

Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing last mile delivery operations throughout the day until the last driver is done.
Checking daily service, driver accountability, enforcing policies, receiving and making phone calls and emails from Drivers and FedEx.
Watching operations to ensure service is met.
Route building, maintenance, and management.
Run DRO (Dynamic Route Optimization - FedEx route planning and management tool)
Keeping track of and scheduling vehicle maintenance.
Ensure all vehicles are mechanically safe and reliable to operate.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems; recognize issues before they become major problems.
Keep all trucks current on DOT inspections.
Ensure any vehicle in the fleet can pass Quarterly Maintenance Inspections by FedEx.
Track and log all repairs, parts and maintenance using the company’s third-party maintenance management software.
Provide reliable, professional advice to ownership on maintenance management.
Interview driver applicants.
Confirm payroll/timesheets on a weekly basis.
Transfer pickups in the morning.
Consistently check route progress on FCC and driver stop statuses on daily service worksheets.
Maintain positive business relationships with FedEx station management and team members.
Quick and professional responses to all service issues raised by FedEx.
Ability to perform road-tests, security audits, ride-along evaluations, and shadow audits as needed.
Possess or obtain good understanding and familiarity of all company routes.
Ensure the company is following all guidelines as set forth by FedEx.
Communicate openly, honestly, and frequently with drivers, FedEx personnel and company ownership.
Deliver & pick up packages if required and familiar with the surrounding area.

Manager Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of DOT, State, and Local regulations.
Must have prior experience running FedEx P&D operations end to end.
Working operational knowledge of DRO (create routes) tool.
Working knowledge of GroundCloud.
Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
Excellent to be already a Ground Cloud Certified Trainer
Must have a clean driving record.
Proficient at electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
Must be able to work independently.
Highly effective at delivering top performance in a fast paced, time critical environment.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and capable to work in other computer-based programs and tools.
Manage and supervise entire pick up and delivery operations.

PAY: $26+/hour Starting Pay (may be negotiable)
