PERSONAL TRAINER — Kansas Built Fitness

We're Kansas Built Fitness, a gym in Olathe, KS with a 5-year track record of helping serious clients achieve real results. We've built our reputation on quality over scale — we cap membership at 300 to ensure every client gets personalized attention. If you're a trainer who values genuine relationships with clients over high volume, this is for you.

What We're Looking For

Personal trainers committed to 20+ hours per week (full-time or part-time arrangements welcome). You should have:

- Current national certification (NASM, ACE, ISSN, or equivalent)

- Current CPR certification

- Minimum 2 years hands-on personal training experience or experience in a relevant field

- Proven ability to program for diverse fitness levels and goals

- Strong communication skills and genuine interest in client success

- Professional demeanor and commitment to safety

Nice-to-haves: nutrition coaching certification, group fitness experience, specialization in areas like strength training, mobility, or functional fitness.

Kansas Built Fitness isn't a typical gym. Here's what makes us different:

- Every client is assigned a dedicated trainer for relationship building and long-term retention

- Strong emphasis on client retention and satisfaction — your success is directly tied to client outcomes

- Flexible scheduling options

Job Responsibilities

- Conduct initial fitness assessments and design personalized training programs

- Deliver 1-on-1 and small group personal training sessions

- Monitor client progress and adjust programming based on results

- Build lasting client relationships focused on retention and goal achievement

- Contribute to a culture of safety, professionalism, and excellence

- Optional: Lead group fitness classes or nutrition coaching sessions

Compensation & Benefits

- Competitive per-session pay (minimum of 50% of the client’s rate). Client rates range between $65-$90 per 60-minute session.

- Volume-based earning potential through dedicated client load (increasing up to 60% of the client’s rate per session pay)

-Partial pay for vacation time (details shared during interview process)

We're serious about supporting our trainers long-term. We're actively working on trainer retention strategies, including exploring health benefit options for committed team members, but we currently do not have health insurance coverage and urge against anyone taking this position unless they have an alternative option for health insurance coverage.
