Full Job Description

Headco Industries, Inc. dba Bearing Headquarters Co. is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and talented Outside Sales Representative (OSR) to join our sales team. The primary job responsibility of the OSR is to achieve sales and profit goals by identifying, developing, and growing new customers and by developing, expanding, and retaining existing customers in the assigned territory. This role is responsible for educating the customer on the full offering of Bearing Headquarters Company’s vendors, products, subsidiaries, and services. This position will foster customer satisfaction by maintaining regular customer contact and managing customer expectations. Interactions with the customer are expected to be face-to-face but also include electronic communications (email, text, Zoom, etc..).

The OSR will be given an assigned list of current customers but will also be expected to call on and develop new customers for growth.

Must be hands-on, detail oriented, organized, proactive and conscientious and must possess the ability to work independently, efficiently, and responsibly.

Compensation includes salary base + commission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop and Maintain business relationships with key customers.

· Develop and Maintain customer relationships across individual customer’s departments (maintenance, engineering, purchasing, management, etc….)

· Develop and Maintain business relationships with company suppliers.

· Become a reliable source to work with customers to identify, engineer and/or suggest products and solutions to ensure their requirements are met.

· Set goals and objectives, generating revenue through market development, forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales.

· Devote time to qualifying, prospecting, cold calling, and networking to achieve sales objectives.

· Cooperate and work with management/inside/operation/support staff to achieve sales objectives.

· Prepare proposals, enter quotations, and customer orders through use of company ERP software.

· Provide emergency and after-hours assistance to customers.

· Lead technical sales presentations and conduct training for customers.

· Troubleshoot questions on customer quotes, questions on customer manufacturing orders or other technical questions/issues to a successful resolution for the customer.

PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS

· Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Must be able to walk around customer facilities, standing during each day on multiple occasions.

· Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and indoors including customer facilities.

· Daily travel required within the assigned territory to meet position requirements.

· Occasional overnight travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Two year or four-year degree in business, engineering, or industrial distribution.

(A combination of education and experience will be considered for this position)

· Experience in selling or marketing technical products to industrial markets.

· Experience in customer service or inside sales in industrial distribution or in maintenance or use of industrial products (bearings, power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical products).

· Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to take initiative and work independently.

· Have a strong mechanical aptitude.

· Experience with CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office.

· Valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.

· Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test, background/reference check.
