Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Experienced Butcher with PRIOR EXPERIENCE to join our TEAM.

Butcher Duties and Responsibilities

Meat Preparation: Cutting, grinding, deboning, trimming, and tenderizing beef, pork, poultry, and fish using knives, saws, and grinders. Indeed
Merchandising: Weighing, packaging, wrapping, and labeling meat products.
Display Maintenance: Creating appealing, attractive displays in retail meat cases and ensuring accurate, up-to-date signage.
Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering questions, providing advice on cooking methods and cuts, and fulfilling special, custom orders. Indeed
Sanitation and Safety: Cleaning and disinfecting tools, equipment (knives, saws), and workstations in compliance with health regulations (HACCP/FDA)
Inventory Control: Inspecting incoming shipments, organizing freezers and coolers, tracking stock levels, and ordering new supplies to limit waste.

Butcher Requirements and Skills

Technical Skills: Strong knife skills and proficiency with commercial meat-cutting equipment.
Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of meat quality, cuts, and preparation methods.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in cold environments (roughly ), and lift heavy items, often over 50 pounds.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and work as part of a team.
Attention to Detail: High precision in cutting and packing to manage costs and reduce shrinkage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
