Full Job Description

Die Services International, LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the technical aspects of our company-wide quality system. This position serves as a key technical quality interface with customers, ensuring customer quality expectations and requirements are understood and met.

The Quality Engineer will also drive and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, ergonomics, safety, and production efficiency. This role works closely with the Quality Manager and multiple departments throughout the organization to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure customer and company standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Support and promote compliance with all plant safety requirements, including proper use of required PPE.
Work with the Quality Manager to ensure customer quality requirements, systems, submissions, and deadlines are met throughout the life of a production program.
Assist the Quality Manager with personnel supervision, daily quality activities, quality systems, and resolution of quality issues.
Identify and implement production improvements that enhance quality, ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.
Promote consistent application of company policies, procedures, and quality expectations across employees and quality personnel.
Encourage supervisors and quality team members to actively identify and implement continuous improvements.
Assist with maintaining the company's ISO certifications and quality management systems.
Ensure quality documentation and records—including part sample submissions, corrective actions, FMEAs, ISIRs, audits, and other quality records—are completed accurately and on time.
Respond to customer complaints and quality concerns in a professional and timely manner while supporting customer satisfaction, employee safety, and ergonomic objectives.
Review and improve testing and inspection processes for incoming, in-process, and finished materials.
Identify, segregate, and determine the disposition of non-conforming or suspect material in coordination with manufacturing, accounting, and other departments.
Maintain segregated material areas in a clean, organized, and controlled condition.
Assist in training quality personnel to promote product quality, workplace safety, interdepartmental communication, and successful task completion.
Effectively manage multiple priorities and adjust work procedures to meet performance and timing expectations.
Collaborate with all departments to support company goals and overall operational success.
Ensure accurate employee timekeeping and work-order tracking in the company's computer-based system.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Specialized training or education in Quality Engineering and/or Quality Control.
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality and ISO systems within a manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge and experience with stamping and assembly operations preferred.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, quality requirements, specifications, and customer submission expectations.
Strong understanding of quality processes, audits, corrective actions, FMEAs, ISIRs, and ISO quality systems.
Ability to read, write, count, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment while following assigned duties and instructions.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing production and customer requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Pay: $71,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
