Position Overview

An established and thriving optometry practice group is seeking a full-time Optometrist for a Northwestern Detroit Area Float position. This unique opportunity offers variety and professional growth by supporting multiple high-volume practices within the Oak Park and Southfield region. You will have the professional freedom to practice full-scope eye care while being supported by experienced staff and state-of-the-art equipment across several locations. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys a dynamic environment and values the ability to impact a diverse patient population.

This opportunity serves the Northwestern Detroit corridor, specifically the vibrant communities of Oak Park and Southfield. This area is known as a core hub of Southeast Michigan, offering an exceptional blend of urban energy and suburban comfort.

Southfield serves as a premier business and residential hub, known for its iconic "Golden Triangle" skyline, hundreds of acres of parkland, and the Lawrence Technological University campus.

As a float doctor, you will have access to consistent, high-quality technical support and equipment at every location you serve.

What You'll Be Working On

Providing comprehensive, full-scope eye care services across multiple practices in Oak Park and Southfield.
Utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to deliver expert clinical outcomes for a diverse patient base.
Recommending vision-enhancing products and designer frames from one of the industry's largest selections.
Promoting long-term eye health through thorough patient education and preventative care.
Collaborating with various team-oriented staffs in fast-paced, energetic environments.
Adapting to different clinical settings while maintaining a high standard of patient-focused care.

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
Valid, active optometry license in the state of Michigan.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
The flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a float-based, multi-site role.
