Job Overview

Precision Eye Institute is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.

The front desk is often the first and last impression a patient has of our practice. We are looking for someone who can provide a warm, polished, and attentive experience while maintaining the accuracy and professionalism expected in a boutique ophthalmology practice.

We also believe a strong practice is built by investing in its people. We want every team member to feel supported, understand how their work contributes to the patient experience, and have opportunities to learn, develop, and take pride in what we accomplish together.

The ideal candidate communicates well, stays organized, anticipates patient needs, and wants to be part of a team that supports one another and continually works to improve.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and guests with warmth and professionalism.
Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently.
Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, route messages, and maintain professional phone etiquette.
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, referrals, and required documentation.
Collect copayments, deductibles, and patient balances accurately.
Maintain accurate schedules and communicate appointment instructions clearly.
Coordinate with technicians, doctors, billing, and other team members to create a smooth and personalized patient experience.
Respond to patient questions and concerns with patience, professionalism, and sound judgment.
Recognize urgent eye-related concerns and follow established office protocols.
Perform data entry, scanning, filing, and other administrative duties.
Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
Participate in training, team discussions, and opportunities to improve our processes and patient care.
Assist with additional front desk and office responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Prior front desk, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
Medical or ophthalmology experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while remaining calm and professional.
Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, phone systems, and Microsoft Office.
Dependable, punctual, and willing to work collaboratively with the entire team.
Able to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.
Open to feedback, continued learning, and professional growth.
