Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Front Office Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and professional office environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and committed to providing exceptional patient care while contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

Work Schedule

Monday (7/7:30 am – 5:00 pm)
Tuesday (7/7:30 am – 5:00 pm)
Wednesday (7/7:30 am – 5:00 pm)
Thursday (7/7:30 am - Noon)
No evenings
No Fridays
No weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Front Office Responsibilities

Welcome and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
Maintain the daily appointment calendar.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
Maintain and update patient charts and electronic records.
Assist with treatment scheduling and patient communications.
Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer proficiency.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred

Experience working in a dental office.
Experience with dental scheduling and practice management software (Dentrix Ascend experience preferred)
Knowledge of dental insurance verification and billing.
Chairside dental assisting a plus but not necessary.

Candidates without dental experience who demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude are encouraged to apply.
