Full Job Description

Description:

Are you a customer-focused professional with strong communication skills? We're hiring an Inside Sales - Customer Service Representative to be the voice of our company and drive customer satisfaction. You'll handle quotations, orders, and technical support while building meaningful relationships with our customers and sales team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love solving problems, we want to hear from you!

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to incoming customer requests via phone, email, and fax, including quotes, orders, technical assistance, and issue resolution
Manage customer relationships by providing expert guidance on product selection and application support
Navigate our systems efficiently using P21 to retrieve customer data, inventory status, and purchase order information
Coordinate seamlessly across departments, accounting, vendors, and outside sales, to fulfill customer needs and provide exceptional value-added service
Verify customer information including credit status and order accuracy before processing
Source hard-to-find items by contacting vendors and coordinating delivery schedules that meet customer expectations
Maintain accuracy by using correct coding and protocols when retrieving and inputting critical information
Prioritize effectively to manage multiple requests and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written; you're articulate, professional, and able to explain technical concepts clearly
Customer-focused mindset—you go the extra mile to solve problems and ensure satisfaction
Organizational excellence—meticulous attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Strong time management—proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing workload efficiently
Analytical & problem-solving abilities—you think critically and find creative solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software systems quickly
Team player mentality—you collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments
Mechanical aptitude (a plus)—familiarity with technical specifications is valuable

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Related experience and/or training are strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this role regularly require the employee to sit; use their hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects; and to speak and hear effectively. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
