About Our Family

We are an active, busy family with three children (one in college and two in high school) and two business owners balancing demanding careers with a strong commitment to family life. Between work, school, sports, travel, and everyday responsibilities, we're looking for someone who can help create a home that feels organized, welcoming, and well cared for.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys creating order, anticipating needs, and taking pride in caring for a home. We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and genuinely enjoys supporting a busy family behind the scenes. Our goal is simple: to spend more time together as a family and less time managing household tasks.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position that combines approximately 50% household management and 50% hands-on housekeeping. We are looking for someone who enjoys both planning and doing. One part of your day may involve coordinating a home repair, organizing household supplies, or planning meals, while another may be spent folding laundry, cleaning the kitchen, or preparing the home for guests.

You will be the primary person responsible for maintaining the home, so we're looking for someone who takes ownership, notices what needs attention without being asked, and enjoys creating calm through organization and consistency.

Who You Are

You are someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and takes initiative to make it happen. You don't wait to be told when the pantry needs to be restocked, the towels need refreshing, or a vendor appointment should be scheduled—you simply take ownership and handle it.

You're organized, dependable, and adaptable, with the ability to shift priorities as family needs change throughout the week. You enjoy creating systems, maintaining routines, and bringing a sense of calm to a busy household.

Most importantly, you take pride in your work, communicate well, respect confidentiality, and enjoy building long-term relationships with the families you support.

Key Responsibilities

Household Management

Manage the day-to-day operations of the household
Coordinate home maintenance, repairs, and vendor appointments
Research products and services and obtain quotes as needed
Manage household inventory and maintain shopping lists
Coordinate household purchases (Amazon, Costco, Target, grocery stores, etc.)
Run household errands including returns, shopping, and donations
Prepare the home for guests, holidays, and family events
Assist with seasonal organization projects throughout the home
Maintain awareness of family calendars and upcoming household needs
Track receipts and household-related expenses

Housekeeping & Household Support

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming home on a daily basis
Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common living areas
Vacuum, mop, dust, wipe surfaces, and empty trash
Load and unload the dishwasher and keep the kitchen reset throughout the day
Wash, dry, fold, iron/steam (as needed), and organize all family laundry
Change bed linens and refresh towels regularly
Organize closets, pantry, storage areas, and seasonal clothing
Perform routine deep-cleaning projects (refrigerator, oven, baseboards, windows, etc.) as needed to maintain the home

Meal Planning & Preparation

Prepare healthy meals / snacks following family preferences
Grocery shop and maintain pantry inventory
Keep the refrigerator, pantry, and kitchen organized
Clean the kitchen following meal preparation

Pet Care

Occasionally feed and walk the family dog
Maintain pet food and supply inventory
