We're growing a modern, client-centered immigration practice and are seeking a dedicated associate to join our all-star team of six immigration attorneys. Experience is helpful, but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate.

Job Overview

This role is open to newly admitted attorneys as well as those with some immigration experience who are ready to manage a family-based and USCIS-focused docket, accompany clients to USCIS interviews, and grow into complex casework. You will guide individuals and families through marriage petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, and naturalization — supporting them through some of the most important moments of their lives.

This is an ideal position for a motivated attorney who values client-centered representation, enjoys hands-on USCIS practice, and wants to grow within a fast-paced, mission-driven firm. You'll work closely with our experienced attorneys, who will train and mentor you as you build your skills.

Preferred Skill Set

J.D. and admission to any U.S. state bar (Massachusetts preferred, but not required)
Strong interest in immigration law, family-based practice, and client advocacy
1–2+ years of immigration law experience with an emphasis on USCIS and family-based matters is a plus, but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate
Familiarity with family-based petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, naturalization, or USCIS interviews is a plus
Familiarity with or interest in federal litigation, federal court practice, and administrative law is a plus
Strong legal research, writing, and client counseling skills
Willingness to learn and ability to manage a fast-moving caseload and meet strict deadlines
Fluency in Portuguese or Spanish is highly preferred; fluency in both is an extreme plus
Confident, compassionate client counseling and customer service skills
Comfort working with case management systems and cloud-based legal tools
High level of professionalism, empathy, and cultural competence

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of family-based and USCIS matters from post-intake through resolution, with supervision as needed
Prepare and file marriage and family petitions, adjustment of status applications, waivers, and supporting evidentiary packets
Represent and accompany clients at USCIS interviews, including marriage and adjustment of status interviews, with support as needed
Handle consular processing and naturalization matters as you build experience
Support the firm's federal litigation efforts — including challenges to unlawful detention and the denial of applications — at the U.S. District Court and Circuit Court levels
Help develop case strategies for family-based and USCIS cases
Communicate regularly with clients to explain legal options, prepare them for interviews, and gather evidence
Coordinate with paralegals and support staff
Maintain accurate, organized case files and ensure compliance with all filing deadlines
Contribute to practice development, internal systems, and workflow improvements
Bring a collaborative, team-first mindset — our attorneys and immigration department work closely together

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $65,000–$96,000 (commensurate with experience)
401(k) retirement plan
