READ BEFORE APPLYING
This is a hands-on operations leadership role, not a desk job. We are a high-volume, multi-channel e-commerce and distribution business (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Wayfair, our own websites, and wholesale/pallet orders). You will own the floor: the people, the numbers, the accuracy, and the cost. Some days that means building a schedule and reviewing KPIs; other days it means putting on gloves and helping the team get the trucks out. If you are not willing to be on the floor with your team, or you have attendance issues, this is not the job for you.
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8AM–5PM + every other Sunday (4 hours); available by phone during peak
Location: Hollywood, FL 33020 (on-site)
Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 /year based on experience, plus performance bonus
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to)
Operations leadership
- Lead and manage daily warehouse operations — shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, returns, and distribution activities
- Own the daily order queue end-to-end: make sure every order that is supposed to ship, ships on time, every day
- Set the daily plan — staffing, workload balance, priority orders, cut-off times — and adjust in real time as volume changes
- Run daily stand-ups and weekly department meetings; keep goals, numbers, and expectations clear
- Step in hands-on during peak volume, short staffing, or large pallet/container days
Process improvement
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies utilizing Lean principles to streamline workflows and reduce waste
- Redesign pick paths, pack stations, staging, and put-away for speed and accuracy
- Standardize the way work is done: write and maintain SOPs (standard operating procedures) for every core warehouse task
- Identify bottlenecks and eliminate them; measure before and after
Logistics & transportation
- Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) to coordinate freight movement, optimize routes, and manage carrier relationships
- Manage parcel and LTL/FTL freight — rate shop, book pickups, schedule appointments, and hold carriers accountable to service levels
- Negotiate and monitor carrier rates and accessorial charges; audit invoices for overcharges
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), freight forwarders, and other external partners to ensure smooth operations
- Manage inbound container and pallet receiving schedules and dock/door planning
Inventory & supply chain
- Manage supply chain functions such as procurement, demand planning, production planning, and inventory management to meet organizational goals
- Own inventory accuracy: cycle counts, bin locations, min/max levels, reorder points, and physical inventory
- Place and follow up on supplier purchase orders; verify arrivals against the packing list and invoice; chase shortages, backorders, and price discrepancies until resolved
- Watch supplier price changes against our cost and flag anything that hurts margin
- Manage slow-moving, damaged, and returned stock; keep the building clean of dead inventory
Systems & data
- Utilize ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, process orders efficiently, and support supply chain analytics
- Run our in-house systems every day: (orders, shipping, labels, inventory, reporting) and (photo verification of every order before it ships)
- Monitor key performance indicators related to warehouse distribution, logistics efficiency, and inventory accuracy; analyze data for continuous improvement opportunities
- Report to ownership on daily and weekly numbers: units shipped, on-time percentage, error rate, cost per shipment, receiving throughput, and labor hours
Team leadership
- Supervise warehouse staff, fostering a high-performance team through effective communication, training, and motivation
- Hire, onboard, train, schedule, and evaluate the warehouse team; manage time clock, attendance, PTO, and overtime
- Coach on speed and accuracy; document performance issues and hold the standard fairly and consistently
- Build bench strength — cross-train the team so no single job depends on one person
Cost control & claims
- Prepare budgets and oversee cost control measures related to freight, shipping & receiving, and warehouse operations
- Control consumable spend (boxes, labels, tape, pallets) and keep supplies stocked without over-buying
- File and track carrier claims (damaged, lost, re-rate / adjustments) and customer damage claims to recover money
Safety, facility & compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Run safety training, enforce proper lifting and equipment use, and keep the building clean, organized, and audit-ready
- Maintain equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, printers, scanners) and coordinate repairs and vendors

- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a distribution or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including transportation planning, demand forecasting, procurement, and inventory control

- Multi-channel e-commerce fulfillment experience (Amazon FBA/FBM, eBay, Walmart, Wayfair, Shopify)
- ShipStation or comparable multi-carrier shipping platform experience

- Experience building SOPs and training programs from scratch

- At least two documented process improvements with before and after numbers
PAY & GROWTH
- $55,000–$70,000 per year based on experience, plus performance bonus
