Full Job Description

Description:

CLX Engineering needs a very proficient, quick, accurate CAD Drafter. Experience reading electrical prints and schematics is a big plus but not necessary. Successful candidates will:

Create accurate 2D CAD models in AutoCAD Electrical of various electrical schematics, layout and field wiring
Produce clear, concise drawings for fabrication of industrial control panels based on UL508A standards in a manner that eliminates the opportunity of error during the production or installation in the field.
Collaborate with the Panel Shop and Integration Engineers to design elements that best meet intent in a manner that maximizes the efficiency of production.
Performs other duties as assigned by management (i.e., documentation, drawings reviews)

Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications

Working experience creating CAD models in AutoCAD Electrical. Formal education in CAD drafting/design is required.
Proficient with basic commands of at least one type of CAD system (ability to occasionally use higher-level commands, timesaving programs and routines)
Excellent Microsoft Office and/or Office 365 proficiency
A basic knowledge of industrial control panel construction materials and methods.
Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
Ability to pass background check initial and random drug screenings
Present a professional demeanor with very good verbal phone skills and clear writing and email skills
Tenacity to get work completed and on time
Attention to detail and ability to consistently turn in accurate, quality work

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Industry experience
Use of AutoCAD Electrical for electrical drawings
A strong willingness to excel in current position for at least a year and then demonstrate ability to grow technical skills
