The Compliance Officer / Licensed Pharmacist will support SpecialtyRx’s commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory excellence by assisting the Chief Compliance Officer in maintaining compliance across all SpecialtyRx locations. This role will combine clinical pharmacy expertise with regulatory oversight to ensure operational excellence and continued accreditation readiness.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about improving pharmacy operations while supporting our long-term care partners.
- Visit pharmacy locations to conduct mock inspections and compliance reviews.

Assist with maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation requirements.

Author, review, and update internal policies, procedures, manuals, and facility documentation.

Complete annual compliance attestations for all locations.

Respond to compliance and regulatory questions from internal teams and pharmacy locations.

Conduct investigations and assist with developing plans of correction for compliance-related issues.

Assist with new pharmacy setups and implementation of compliance processes.

Support preparation for and maintenance of JCAHO accreditation requirements.

Monitor regulatory changes and update policies and manuals as needed.

Provide support for all compliance-related initiatives.
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, including drug selection, dosage, interactions, and administration requirements.

Ensure medications are accurately dispensed, prepared, and properly labeled.

Communicate with facility nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team members regarding medication-related questions.

Supervise medication preparation and pharmacy operations.

Make recommendations for therapy changes when appropriate.

Investigate and resolve medication-related issues and inquiries.

Maintain accurate customer profiles, including medical history, clinical information, and laboratory data.

Support safe and effective medication management for long-term care residents.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.

Active pharmacist license with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy required.

Long-Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.

Reliable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, and AI tools.

Experience with Frameworks LTC system preferred.

Experience with ECM/document management systems preferred.

Non-Sterile and Sterile Compounding experience a plus.

Regulatory/compliance experience a plus.
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Monday – Friday
Every other weekend rotation
