Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to manufacture precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will be experienced in interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, performing quality inspections, and ensuring products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Ability to perform machine setups and first-piece inspections.
Set up machinery by installing tools, fixtures, and calibrating equipment using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Experience working with metals such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and titanium.
Load raw materials and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Perform tool changes, machine adjustments, and routine preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or tooling adjustments.
Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with programmers, engineers and production staff to improve manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining preferred.
2+ years of CNC machining experience (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) is an asset.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Stand for extended periods
Manual dexterity to operate machinery and measuring instruments.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, coolants, and metal chips.

Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour
