Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Helper, where your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to creating a vibrant and efficient kitchen environment. In this role, you will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and assist with basic cooking tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food industry while working alongside talented culinary professionals. Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
Support the cooking process by following recipes accurately and adhering to food safety management protocols.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances necessary for meal production.
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment regularly in compliance with safety standards.
Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety at all times.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and maintain a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
Experience working in food service, restaurant, or catering environments is preferred.
Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is beneficial.
Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Understanding of food safety standards in production and food handling practices.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members.
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
