We are seeking an early- to mid-level Software Developer to build and maintain the systems that connect our advertising, website, lead, and customer data.
This role is ideal for a developer who understands the Google Ads measurement ecosystem and enjoys solving large-scale marketing-data problems. You will be working in a high-volume advertising environment where we spend tens of millions of dollars per year on Google Ads alone, generating massive datasets across clicks, calls, forms, and offline conversions. Your work will directly impact how we measure and optimize one of the largest customer acquisition engines in the industry.
You will develop reporting tools, API integrations, data pipelines, dashboards, and attribution systems that help us understand which campaigns, keywords, ads, and landing pages generate qualified leads and customers at scale.
You do not need to be a full-time media buyer, but you should understand how Google Ads reporting, conversion tracking, and attribution work. You should be comfortable investigating discrepancies between Google Ads, GA4, call-tracking platforms, CRM records, and internal business data in a high-volume, high-spend environment where small tracking issues can translate into significant financial impact.
This is a hands-on software development position—not an SEO or campaign-management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain internal applications, APIs, data pipelines, and reporting tools for marketing performance analysis at large scale
- Integrate with the Google Ads API, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, call-tracking platforms, CRM systems, and other marketing-data sources
- Collect, normalize, and reconcile high-volume campaign data such as spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, leads, cost per lead, customer acquisition cost, revenue, and return on ad spend
- Develop reliable systems for capturing and preserving attribution data, including GCLID, GBRAID, WBRAID, UTM parameters, landing-page data, referrer information, and conversion timestamps
- Connect advertising clicks and website sessions to form submissions, phone calls, qualified leads, appointments, sales outcomes, and other downstream events
- Implement and maintain offline conversion imports, enhanced conversions, and server-side conversion tracking at scale
- Build dashboards and reports that allow marketing and leadership teams to evaluate performance by campaign, ad group, keyword, device, location, landing page, and lead source across millions of dollars in ad spend
- Develop and document attribution logic, including first-touch, last-touch, and multi-touch approaches where appropriate
- Investigate reporting discrepancies between Google Ads, GA4, CRM data, call-tracking systems, and internal MongoDB-based data systems
- Create automated data-quality checks, monitoring, alerts, and reconciliation processes for high-volume data streams
- Develop backend services using Node.js, Python/FastAPI, or similar technologies
- Build or enhance internal reporting interfaces using React, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Design and consume REST APIs, webhooks, and scheduled data-processing jobs
- Write maintainable, tested, and well-documented code using Git-based development workflows
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, sales, and leadership to translate business questions into reliable technical solutions
- Handle customer and attribution data securely and follow applicable privacy and data-protection requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js, or Python and FastAPI
- Experience building or consuming REST APIs and working with JSON, OAuth, webhooks, and third-party integrations
- Working knowledge of MongoDB, document databases, data modeling, and building reporting pipelines on non-relational data structures
- Hands-on familiarity with Google Ads reporting, conversion actions, campaign structure, and attribution concepts
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
- Understanding of advertising and attribution identifiers such as GCLID, GBRAID, WBRAID, and UTM parameters
- Ability to connect marketing activity to downstream lead, sales, or revenue outcomes in high-volume environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify data gaps, duplication, tracking failures, and reporting inconsistencies
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to marketing and business stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)
- Direct experience with the Google Ads API, GA4 Data API, Google Ads Scripts, or Google Tag Manager APIs
- Experience implementing enhanced conversions, offline conversion imports, or server-side tracking
- Experience building marketing attribution, lead-tracking, or call-tracking systems
- Experience integrating advertising platforms with CRM or lead-management systems
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, or Cloud Scheduler
- Experience building dashboards with React, Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar tools
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, and scheduled data pipelines
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, logging, alerting, and application monitoring
- Understanding of data privacy, consent management, and secure handling of personally identifiable information
- Familiarity with landing-page optimization, conversion rate optimization, WordPress, or technical SEO
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or OpenAI Codex to accelerate software development and debugging workflows
- Experience using Google Sheets for reporting automation, data analysis, or lightweight ETL workflows
- Experience with Microsoft Ads (Bing Ads) reporting, APIs, or conversion tracking
- Experience working with OpenAI / ChatGPT APIs for marketing analytics, reporting automation, or data enrichment
- Familiarity with Google Ads API ecosystem tools and reporting layers beyond standard UI exports
What Success Looks Like
- Marketing reports are accurate, automated, and trusted by stakeholders despite very high ad spend and data volume
- Advertising clicks can be reliably connected to qualified leads and customer outcomes across millions in monthly spend
- Offline and online conversion data is sent to Google Ads accurately and on time
- Tracking failures and data discrepancies are detected and resolved quickly before they materially impact performance
- Leadership can clearly understand campaign performance, lead quality, acquisition costs, and return on advertising spend at scale
- Manual reporting work is replaced by scalable, maintainable software
