We are seeking a friendly, positive, dedicated and skilled Kitchen Team Member who can also serve as a Customer Service Line Server as needed to join our awesome team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen and on our front of house line by assisting in the preparation of high-quality meals and ensuring that all food handling and safety standards are met. This position requires a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment plus an engaging personality for direct interaction with customers. Our business is very team oriented so you must be able to work well with others, stay upbeat and positive plus be proactive to assist whenever needed.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for assembly cooking and salad station, including chopping, mixing and measuring food items, cleaning and washing.
- Work the assembly front of house line by following recipes and instructions from ownership.
- Create tasty and delicious salads at our front of house salad station.
- Meet, greet, interact and serve customers including sales via our POS system, making cocktails, smoothies and coffee, service via our pick up window and more.
- Keep busy at all times with prepping, cooking, cleaning, washing and helping customers have a positive experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with all staff to ensure timely meal preparation for both in house and take out orders.
- Prepare dishes that meet specific dietary needs as requested.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and culinary techniques.
- Experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a fast paced, very busy culinary business.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Engaging personality and eagerness to assist customers with a smile.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy kitchen and general work setting.
- Basic understanding of dietary restrictions and how to accommodate them when preparing meals.
