Full Job Description

LOCATION: New Mexico / West Texas (Permian Basin)

JOB OVERVIEW

The Field Sales Representative represents Drilformance in an ethical and professional manner while supporting Account Representatives to meet the aggressive demands of the Permian Basin. This role is responsible for marketing, selling, and representing Drilformance drill bits and tools. Beyond sales, you are responsible for the collection of field data, delivery of products to the well site, and providing innovative insights to help customers optimize their drilling performance. This is a high-energy, 24/7 on-call role that requires a self-motivated individual dedicated to increasing market share through service excellence and technical knowledge.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Sales & Growth: Market and sell Drilformance bits and tools to existing and potential clients; identify customer needs to increase company sales.
Field Operations: Deliver drill bits, tools, and related inventory to field locations (rig sites) as required.
Technical Insights: Inform customers about new and existing opportunities; gather field data and provide performance feedback to internal stakeholders.
Inventory Management: Perform inventory distribution, cycle counts, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company policy.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and consistent communication with Account Representatives and the management team regarding customer interests and competitive activities.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with safety procedures; maintain a clean, safe, and properly serviced company vehicle.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Drilformance management standards.
Continuous Learning: Proactively learn local applications, Drilformance product lines, and proper tool applications to overcome client objections.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Business Development: Establish and maintain positive business relationships; monitor competitor sales and perform cold calls to potential clients.
Reporting: Supply management with reports on customer needs, potential new products, and competitive sales activities.
Field Readiness: Must be available for 24-hour on-call shifts, including weekends. Frequent travel to drilling rigs is required.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organization, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to solve problems involving a variety of variables in a fast-paced environment.
Accountability: Self-motivated with a record of achieving quotas and the ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.
Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills with the ability to progress to intermediate proficiency.
Pre-employment: Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to navigate remote field locations using maps and GPS technology.
Physical ability to perform activities such as bending, stooping, sitting, and walking in a field environment.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

College degree.
Prior oilfield bit sales or related experience (specifically in the WTX Permian Basin/New Mexico).
Experience with commissioned sales or field-based service roles.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This position is a 24-hour on-call role and requires significant field travel. You will be the "face" of Drilformance on the rig site, ensuring our products meet or exceed client expectations every day.
