Electrician Job Overview:

As an Electrician at Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a variety of industrial and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety procedures, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure efficient and reliable electrical operations.

Electrician Job Responsibilities:**
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
* Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
* Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
* Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
* Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the appropriate layout of electrical systems.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
* Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project completion.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians.

Electrician Job Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
* Completion of an approved electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
* Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Texas or ability to obtain.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in industrial or commercial environments.
* Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
* Proficient in using a variety of electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
