Full Job Description

About the Role

The Guest Services Specialist is often the first impression of Texoma Destinations and plays an important role in creating an exceptional guest experience from the first phone call through checkout.

This position serves as a primary point of contact for reservations, vacation planning, and general guest inquiries. From helping a family choose the perfect cabin to booking an RV site, coordinating a boat rental, giving a property tour, or assisting a marina guest, the Guest Services Specialist helps make every interaction friendly, professional, and efficient.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and takes pride in creating memorable Lake Texoma experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and through email and online inquiries.
Welcome guests with a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude.
Assist guests with questions about accommodations, amenities, activities, marina services, and the Lake Texoma area.
Provide outstanding service before, during, and after each guest's stay.
Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment, escalating more complex situations when necessary.
Maintain clear and professional communication with guests throughout the reservation and stay process.

Reservations & Vacation Planning

Book and manage reservations for cabins, RV sites, campsites, boat rentals, public cruises, and other Texoma Destinations experiences.
Modify existing reservations and maintain accurate guest and reservation records.
Process payments, deposits, and reservation changes using company software.
Help guests choose accommodations and experiences that best fit their needs.
Recommend upgrades, amenities, memberships, rentals, and additional services that enhance the guest experience.
Follow up on reservation inquiries and leads in a timely manner.
Meet established customer service and sales expectations.

Property Tours

Conduct cabin, property, and marina slip showings for prospective guests.
Highlight accommodations, amenities, resort features, and available experiences.
Help prospective guests identify the accommodations or services that best fit their needs.
Represent Texoma Destinations professionally while interacting with guests throughout the property.

Marina & Front Desk Operations

Assist with guest arrivals, departures, and check-ins.
Process marina slip payments and related transactions.
Answer questions regarding marina services, resort amenities, day-use access, and property policies.
Assist with daily front desk and administrative operations as needed.

Communication

Communicate guest requests, maintenance concerns, special accommodations, and scheduling updates to the appropriate departments.
Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Marina, Sales & Events, Retail, and Operations teams to provide a seamless guest experience.
Maintain accurate guest records, reservation details, notes, and internal communications.
Step in to assist other departments and perform additional duties as needed to support the overall success of Texoma Destinations.

Qualifications

Minimum of one (1) year of experience using a reservation system or Property Management System (PMS) is required.
Previous hospitality, tourism, hotel, marina, RV park, campground, vacation rental, front desk, or customer service experience is strongly preferred.
Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and phone skills.
Friendly, outgoing, positive, and professional attitude.
Sales-minded with the ability to identify guest needs and confidently recommend appropriate accommodations, upgrades, amenities, and services.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using computers, reservation systems, Google Drive, and other business software.
Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
Dependable, punctual, and accountable with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-first attitude.
Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.

Schedule Requirements

Weekend availability is required.

Texoma Destinations is a hospitality and tourism business, and our busiest periods occur when our guests are enjoying the lake. Applicants must be available to work weekends and seasonal peak periods.

The following holidays are mandatory work periods for the Guest Services team:

Memorial Day Weekend
Fourth of July Holiday
Labor Day Weekend

Availability during these peak periods is an essential requirement of the position.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
Ability to walk resort and marina properties to assist guests and provide tours.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors as duties require.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
