BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists is looking for a full-time or part-time Ophthalmic Assistant / Ophthalmic Technician to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We’re looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. This position can be Monday-Friday, with 8-hour day shifts or 10-hour shifts. No Holidays! No Weekends!
The Clinic:
BayCare Clinic is a successful, dynamic group comprised of 19 specialties. We are a physician-owned entity with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital located in Green Bay, WI, offering us a built-in referral base. Each of our specialty practices have clinical autonomy and are financially sound.

The Practice:
We are a team of dedicated Ophthalmologists and Optometrists who exist to meet the ophthalmic needs of the people of Northeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists offers more specialty services than any other provider in northeastern Wisconsin and we are the largest Ophthalmology practice north of Milwaukee, with five locations in northeastern Wisconsin. We have a highly trained, collaborative team of ophthalmologists, most of whom specialize in one aspect of eye health. We have cornea, glaucoma, retina, pediatric and oculoplastic specialists.

The Job:
- Maintaining the highest standard of care; assists Ophthalmologist/Optometrist with the treatment of patients and in efficiently moving patients in/out of exam areas.
- Assists with surgery/procedures as directed by the Ophthalmologist/Optometrist.
- Has a working knowledge of the needs of the Ophthalmologist/Optometrist.
- Accurately records patient histories and documents all care and related patient conversations for the medical records.
- Accurately performs a variety of basic tests as prescribed by the Ophthalmologist/Optometrist and takes vital signs etc.
- Communicates with patients and completes physician orders regarding prescription medications.
- Ensures the is a proper stock of medical and drug supplies.
- Maintains and cleans instruments, lenses, and room equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.
- Respects and maintains confidentiality.
- Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.
