Full Job Description

A well-established, growth-oriented general contracting firm in the Dallas area is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. This is a confidential search. Further details about the company will be shared with qualified candidates.

What You'll Do

Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects from conceptual through GMP/lump sum
Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
Develop and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing
Participate in bid strategy, scope gap analysis, and value engineering sessions
Coordinate with project management and operations teams during the hand-off from preconstruction to construction
Track bid results and maintain historical cost data to improve future estimates
Support business development efforts through proposal preparation and presentations

What We're Looking For

5+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
Proficiency with estimating software (Sage Estimating, ProContractor, Bluebeam, or similar)
Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents
Experience estimating across multiple sectors (office, healthcare, education, retail, industrial, or multifamily preferred)
Solid understanding of subcontractor scopes, trade sequencing, and construction methods
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously with a sense of urgency
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred — equivalent experience considered
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
