Full Job Description

Yoh has an exciting contract opportunity for a Network Administrator to join a rapidly growing defense technology organization supporting enterprise infrastructure operations. This opportunity is ideal for candidates within commuting distance of Frisco, TX for a fully onsite work environment.

Title: Network Administrator
Compensation: $50.00/hour (depending on experience level)
Type: Contract
Industry: Defense Technology / Enterprise Operations
Location: Frisco, TX (Onsite)
Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities

Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across corporate offices and data center environments.
Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 networking technologies including VLANs, trunking, spanning tree, and port channels.
Assist with administration of core, distribution, and access layer network architecture.
Implement firewall updates, VPN configurations, NAT changes, and high-availability network support.
Diagnose and resolve wired and wireless network connectivity issues in production environments.
Support wireless networking infrastructure including SSID-to-VLAN mappings and performance troubleshooting.
Execute network changes and upgrades in accordance with established change management processes.
Monitor network health and proactively address performance or availability concerns.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and infrastructure documentation efforts.
Collaborate with cloud, systems, and security teams to maintain secure and scalable enterprise environments.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise networking environments.
Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking concepts including VLANs, trunking, STP, and link aggregation.
Experience supporting data center networking infrastructure and enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
Hands-on experience administering enterprise firewalls including policy updates, VPNs, NAT, and HA configurations.
Experience troubleshooting both wired and wireless enterprise networks.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing concepts.
Experience performing production network changes in live operational environments.
Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work onsite in Frisco, TX.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Juniper switching technologies.
Familiarity with Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewall platforms.
Exposure to dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP.
Experience with enterprise wireless platforms including Aruba, Cisco, or Mist.
Relevant networking certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, PCNSE, NSE, or similar.
Experience supporting secure, regulated, or mission-critical environments.

Estimated Min Rate: $35.00
Estimated Max Rate: $50.00
