Position Overview
This person is responsible for supporting and working closely with a Residential Service / Field Tech Lead while conducting service inspections, performing de-installation and re-installation of PV systems, and responding to service calls to troubleshoot and repair solar photovoltaic systems in residential PV installations and battery storage installations.
Position Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Assist with site preparation and clean up.
Ensure crew and job site safety standards are being met.
Assist with system troubleshooting, analysis, and repairs.
Perform de-installation and re-installation of solar PV systems.
Assist with installation, analysis, and troubleshooting of web-based monitoring solutions.
Assist with equipment warranty and vendor RMA processes.
Track and coordinate incoming and outgoing materials for service projects in coordination with the warehouse team.
Provide excellent communication and follow-up with project managers and customers.
Assist with and track work order documentation in a timely manner.
Support tool management and property maintenance protocol with all tools, company property, and vehicles.
Drive to customer sites and Namaste Solar offices.
Deliver accurate and concise feedback and best practices to installers.
Standards and Expectations
Basic understanding of solar PV design, installation, and troubleshooting.
Previous experience installing solar PV.
Ensure that installations are completed at or above industry standards.
Represent the company to our customers in a way that builds trust and accountability and ensures customer satisfaction.
Participate in educating new and existing customers on how solar PV systems perform and operate.
Excellent teamwork skills, including the ability to foster a positive team environment through collaborative decision making and troubleshooting.
Complete required safety trainings quarterly.
Understand and actively engage in safety practices required for the role, including 360s and job site reviews.
Have reliable transportation to work along the Front Range and a clean driving record.
Understand tool use and be familiar with construction best practices.
Comfortably able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work with tools, and work on rooftops in varying temperatures.
Non-Essential Qualifications
Valued but not required skills and experience:
NABCEP Certification, electrical licensure, and OSHA-10 safety certification.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee must periodically lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Driving is required to site locations.
Work environment: The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate. The work environment changes from day to day, including office work and work on roofs of all pitches. This role includes regular exposure to dangerous electrical components. Daily temperatures vary from hot to cold depending on the season.
