Full Job Description

Electrical Estimator
Denver Metro Area | $95,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Company Vehicle

This is an opportunity to join a growing electrical contractor where estimating is viewed as a strategic function, not simply a takeoff role. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial and mission-critical projects and is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator who understands the trade and wants to play an active role in project success.

The estimating team focuses on pursuing the right opportunities and developing thoughtful, competitive bids rather than chasing volume. Estimators work closely with leadership, project management, vendors, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle, providing visibility and influence that extends well beyond the bid process.

What You'll Do

Review plans, specifications, and bid documents for commercial electrical construction projects
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, material, and equipment
Develop accurate project estimates and competitive proposals
Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
Identify scope gaps, project risks, and value-engineering opportunities
Coordinate project turnover with operations and project management teams
Participate in bid strategy discussions and project evaluations
Track bid outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical estimating experience
Experience using Trimble Accubid Anywhere Estimating and LiveCount
Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and construction practices
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and coordinated document sets
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate from practical electrical trade experience

Preferred Qualifications

Colorado Journeyman Electrician License
Journeyman electrician background with transition into estimating
Experience working on commercial and light industrial projects
